In response to the many requests we've received asking for French women's secrets to dressing for winter, we've paid one of our favorite and most stylish Frenchies a fashionable visit: Anne Tortosa.

Why is this your favorite winter outfit?

Anne: "I like to feel comfortable in my clothes in the winter, as if I were wrapped in a cocoon. This coat is just perfect for that."

How would you describe your winter style?

"Comfortable, easy, but always tasteful haha."

What are your 3 other winter go to's?

"A wool hat, fur-lined boots (with heels to stay feminine), and a scarf or a shawl."

[Ed.] Because yeah... Anne is French and "never without a scarf" should be our national motto.

If you were to travel to France right now, what would you take with you?

"This faux shearling coat by Zara, a cashmere shawl to wrap myself in softness, and a black hat because I like to have my head covered."

[Ed.] And who doesn't like hats?!

Anne is an LA-based entrepreneur. Previously a National Police Officer (you go girl!), Anne and her fireman-turned-photographer husband Rémy left everything to move to Los Angeles and develop their creative and branding agency, Content by ART. You got it, she's kind of a badass and sources her daily motivation from these words of wisdom:

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
